What You’ll Need (and Helpful Tips)
1. A Recent Photograph
- You can take this at home against a plain white background.
- They’re strict about photo requirements, so follow the instructions carefully. If your photo doesn’t meet the guidelines, they’ll email you to submit a new one. Don’t stress — this is a common delay. Just upload a new photo with the necessary adjustments.
- When uploading, use the photo tool on the website to check that your image meets the size and format specifications.
- Alternatively, you can get a professional photo taken at a local shop — just make sure to ask for a digital copy so you can upload it directly to your application.
- Make sure the image is clear, in color, and fully visible (no cropped edges).
- You may be asked to upload proof of your flight itinerary (a screenshot or photo should do).
- Some applicants have reported being able to submit without this, but since I included mine, I can’t confirm if it’s strictly required.
- Have your passport handy to fill in the details accurately.
- You’ll need this to pay the visa fee of $80.90 USD per person. This visa is valid for 10 years.
- On the “Address Details” page, you’ll be asked if you have any contacts in Brazil. We recommend selecting “No.” This is because if you list Tom as your contact, they’ll ask for his address — and since Tom lives off-grid, he doesn’t have one you can use!
- The form will ask about your job title, monthly salary, and nature of business in Brazil. Note that these are optional — fill them out as you wish.
